Right now Oregon is blowing the horn repeatedly as they are running the train on TCU.

Duh...I was trying to make the connection. My mother went to TCU and my grandfather worked for the Texas and Pacific Railroad in Ft Worth. I shuuda knowed!!

It's a Texas thing. Our local high school does the same thing. Mascot is "Indians", but when they score they blow this big loud train horn. You're right, it doesn't make sense
