largest straight up loss regarding point spread for us would take place when we were #2 in the nation. I could see it happening if we're lower ranked and get a big points spread, but wow. That is a bad sign.

I will say that I think our spreads all year have been too big, even though we beat the spread vs Va Tech, Louisville and Auburn.

I remember us losing as a 17 point or 20 point favorite vs Maryland once, but come to think of it a 22 1/2 point spread is huge to lose straight up.

weren't we favored over West VA in the Orange Bowl? Lost by 37 - if we were only favored by 3 - that's a 40 point difference...

No , not being prepared is losing to an opponent by 35 points .
We lost by 3 on the road to a game football team that outplayed us .

It wasn't that big of an upset with what we were missing. They played with LSU and NC State on the road.
