His dad's a HS coach. Can't help but wonder of Jake getting offered ahead of his boy rubbed him the wrong way...hence the ridiculous comments indicating Bud Foster > than BV.

Jake will likely be a good player in his own right, but I won't second guess anything that leaves BV in place at Clemson for even 1 day longer than he would stay otherwise.

We were Dax's first offer, but he slow played the process, which is fine but sometimes teams move on, We probably could have had him if the staff didn't tell him they were full a second time after the Power Rangers came back.

I'm not going to second guess them but that seemed like a panic move for a position that we could use a good young player in. All of our other Mikes are JRs or SRs, and the transfers of Robinson and Johnson were to be expected, maybe not them specifically but somebody along the DL was leaving.

Team will be fine but we'll probably have like 80 scholarship players for 2018 which is like playing under a major infraction sanction.

Mike Jones. Clemson backed off because of numbers and I'm sure that caused some hurt feelings. Boulware went through the same thing but sucked it up and came anyway.

Having Jake Venables means that Brent Venables is our defensive coordinator for at least the next 4 years. I'll give up a Dax Hollifield for each of those next 4 years to have that happen and then not even think twice about it.
