given his coaching abilities and our roster.

I'm just surprised anytime we make a free throw. ;)

I know! He's had like 2 years already! Get another Stud like

Bobo...

Isn't this his 4th recruiting class?

Posted: Mar 15, 2013 12:14 PM

You could argue to throw out his first class. He has now had 3 full classes with 1 scholarship remaining.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg

He's had 2 classes on campus...Only an idiot would count

the class that OP ran off on and his "4th" class has yet to step on campus....2 classes...We'll see how Landry and Josh play out...

2 classes of his guys. he had Stanton who transferred after the first year. He was a BB recruit who came with him to CU in the job change after OP left.

I realize that he came with Brad, but you can't say he had

time to sign a REAL class at Clemson after he took the job...Cory was headed to Wright State and came with him...He wasn't recruited to Clemson...

that is my point and he isnt there so there are only two classes of guys this past season

...with all the 6'10" guys bombing 3's in the NBA now big guys don't want to get on the block. There are no Ewings, Jabbars, or even Howards anymore.....at least imo.

Certainly not suggesting that, but that should not be used

as an excuse for not signing quality players over 6-6 who can play the positions.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg

Why don't you give him some time?***

I think 4 years in basketball is plenty of time to establish

what you can do.

We should know by the end of next year if he can get it done. But, I understand a sense of urgency on the part of the AD to get the basketball program on a money making path and avoid continuing down one that may be the wrong one.

He hasn't had four years yet...***

you think he has had 4 recruiting classes...

I can explain it to you, but I can't make you understand it.

1st class: Stanton
2nd class: Hall, McDaniel, Coleman, Sapp, Sullivan
3rd class: Nnoko, Smith, Filer, Roper, Blossomgame
4th class: Rooks, Ajukwa, and 1 more scholarship.

Maybe he gets a stud with the last scholarship, but so far, it's as I said it was.

Only an idiot would count the class that OP ran out on as

a full class for Brad...He has had 2 full classes on campus...

badge-donor-05yr.jpg

No, I am reading...You want to count his 11th hour class,

Posted: Mar 15, 2013 12:58 PM

because you know there were a lot of big men waiting around in April and you want to count a class that he has not finalized...That's how YOU get to 4...I say he has 2 classes to judge so far...

You can't judge Rooks' and Ajukwa's height yet?

Posted: Mar 15, 2013 1:05 PM

everything I read says they are 6-3 and 6-5. He's got one more scholarship out of his last 3 classes to sign another big man, which was my original point.

And you missed the statement where I said you could argue to throw the first one of the four out.

Dam.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg

The Class isn't full yet...And I read you say that, then

Posted: Mar 15, 2013 1:07 PM

count that class...So where does that leave it?

right where I said it was.***

badge-donor-05yr.jpg

Wasn't arguing just think its hard to find 6'8"+..

Posted: Mar 15, 2013 12:26 PM

in todays generation that is willing to be just a big block guy....they all think they can score like Durant....which lends itself back to the 'system' argument again....i'm a Brownell fan and really with where we are now have no problem giving him at least 2 more years....basketball today can be fixed quickly with so many guys wanting to jump to NBA (warranted or not) so you have ability to recruit yourself to a winning season but often its short lived unless youre the BIG DOGs.....i say let's see if he can establish a program and if in 2 years we are still here then go hire the HOT new guy and let him give it a shot....but remember im just a girls hs hoops coach so take all the above accordingly....

Always do whatever's next. -cuda

I guess he's still working hard on Demetrius Henry.

and maybe the Djitte kid out of Fayetteville. There are very few 4 or 5 star guys left in this cycle.

and he has no shot at those 2 five star PFs.

a big man given his coaching abilities and our roster."

After 4 recruiting class, one of which you can throw out, he only has 2 big man. He has one more scholarship to use in this class, possibly on another big man. Up to this point we only have 2 men(most understand this is less than desirable).

I thought I would consolidate my statements for you.
