It's only fitting D.J. Swearinger would say this publicly. He's one of the dirtiest players I've seen in modern day football.

I agree as well. And just imagine, they used to play this game with leather helmets... I wonder what guys like Ray Nitschke, Jack Lambert, #### Butkus, and even Brian Dawkins, et al, etc., etc., would think of this rule. Guys used to be coached and trained to put your head down and hit-em like a freight train. It's what made football what it is, and always has been - or used to be. I'm all for safety and such, but the only real alternative to the game as we have grown to love it is to simply ban it, and relegate it to memories of "back in the day", when men were men....
