I'm not defending our S & C but the opinion of bodybuilders

Apr 20, 2012, 6:08 PM

is laughable.

Bodybuilding has nothing to do with strength, endurance or explosiveness. Bodybuilding is all for show and bodybuilders forgoe endurance, mobility, flexibiltiy and explosiveness so that they can "sculpt" theirselves into a picture of a superficial look.

Frankly, big biceps are not that necessary for most football positions.

See my post in the other thread.

Apr 20, 2012, 6:19 PM

It's got nothing to do with their opinion.

It's about what happens on the field against physical teams 2-3 times a year.

You don't have to be a S&C coach to see it.

I'm not expert, and I'm not bashing anyone. But this has been thoroughly addressed in the big thread.

Agreed the multiple thread stuff on same topic

Apr 20, 2012, 7:28 PM

is clutter.

State your business with a trap and keep it there. Then observe and should results differ from reality bring it to the forefront at that point.

yep - Auburn, FSU and VaTech dominated us .....***

Well, no one ever said that

Apr 21, 2012, 7:48 AM

So the passive aggressiveness is kind of misguided.

If, like I said, you'll read my comments in the main thread. I clearly indicated that it only happens a few times a year.

VaTech is a physical team, yet we man handled them….

Apr 21, 2012, 5:24 PM

twice, so that throws a wrench in the myth that physical teams dominate us all the time. Plus last season NC State wasn't a physical team, yet they dominated us physically. So I think there are other reasons for being physically dominated in some games, like a lack of focus and the urgency to win.

Until an NFL scout comes a long and complains that our players don't go through a proper S&C program, I'm not going to buy that there is a problem with our S&C. Now if there is a problem with our S&C program, then there needs to be changes. But the only place you hear that there is a problem with our S&C program are from fans on the internet who have no clue as to how our S&C program is run, and who also google some 3 minute workout videos from different teams and think that that proves something is wrong with our S&C program. Sorry, but 3 minutes clips aren't going to tell you anything about our S&C program.

Bravo!!!

VaTech team twice, and were man handled by a non physical team in NC State.

And what I said about the complaints about our S&C program was true too. No reporters or columnists inside college football have ever written an article that our S&C program is outdated, and there hasn't been an NFL scout or team that says that our players don't go through a proper S&C program.

If I'm wrong about this, link me to the facts that point to the contrary. And no a link to ShakinTheSouthland isn't a factual link.

You use to post on rivals back in 08-09 when I was there. Pretty sure you're the same, Tigerking. Am I right?

Young team, new scheme, mind set is a different work out, and you guys have zero clout.

Look for our coaches to help these issues, not Batson!!!

If the muscle is a "pop" versus a "long", yes. Mine are not "pop" style. However, when I worked out & had the proper nutrition they got big, so what exactly are you saying, Tigerking?
