Does anyone know the story of "Super Fan The Hat"? Saw him on the local news. Looks like he also has a Clemson website so is he a media member as well?

I bought ACCCG tix from Dean - aka ‘The Hat’ - for the game played in Orlando. He is a really good guy. His collection of Clemson memorabilia is awesome - he is a true fan!

Dean is a long time friend. Several years ago I stopped by his tailgate near Littlejohn. The fire on his cooker went out. The lid was closed and gas accumulated. As he opened the lid to ignite the burners, a huge flame came our and Dean had severe burns. Emergency personnel were nearby, took Dean to the hospital in Seneca. Later he transferred to the burn center in Augusta and was there for a considerable amount of time. Had a long recovery period but came through OK.
I have a magnetic orange shaped football with "Mr.Joe" on it that Dean gave me many years ago. Going to and from the home games it will be on the door of the front seat passenger side.

Love The Hat! Great guy. Loves Clemson. I think he parted ways with that website just recently.
