Sunday Shorts

May 1, 2020, 7:50 AM

Good morning P&R

Sunday Shorts

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Have you ever loved someone so much that you would give anything you have, or do anything you could, to keep them happy and safe? True love can motivate such action for another. The real question, however, is if you could do the same for a stranger? This is what God has done!

God did not single any one person out to love, he chose us all. He was not looking for only those who would appreciate what He was doing either. God truly wants all of us to be free from the oppression and penalty of sin. There was only way to do this. He gave His Son, Jesus to save us.

It does not matter whether you have lifted your voice in praise and thanks to God for this great love or not, this act of love is there for you. Whether you believe in God or not, still, this act of love is there for you. It is there for “whoever” will believe, whenever they believe. It is there for the young and the old, the sick and the healthy. No matter where you are in life, or who you may be, God gave His Son, Jesus, because He loves you. How amazing and wonderful God's love for us truly is!

God bless you today!
