I've never understood why they do that. Pretend. I guess it's excitement to fill the void of having a chitty program. Or maybe they want to see what it's like to be a winner.....if for just a brief moment.

You’re probably right. They realize the hopeless situation that they’ve built their life around has turned into a death trap they can’t escape except when they FANtasize about having a school and tradition they could be proud of.

BUT...then, reality comes crashing back in! LOL
