Just take look at what he had and how he left Ga. Tech.

? he is top 5 apr, his players not only graduate, but stay

out of trouble, putting butts in the seats & no matter how hard people try to suggest otherwise, he's winning at a top 15 rate. his annual should be much higher based on that alone if you compare it to the top 15 highest paid in college football.

based on what he's done to date, clemson wasn't showing him the door in the next 3-5 years, the 'without cause' is fluff.

in the meantime, he's being paid none salaried money, creative financing, including $500k for his name. i imagine the difference in what he could have made upfront & the buyout 5 years from now will be "escrowed/invested/set aside" as i'm sure there are rules that address the "obligation" if only in portion.

i don't see this as a lifetime contract at all.

Ditto ! Dabo is the GUY for Clemson. He has done a terrific job in his first 5 years. Spurrier did not really start winning until AFTER his 5th yr. & he has been a head coach 3 times Longer than Dabo. I hope we keep him forever. He has us on the right track. We are in better shape now than ever before. We have Great athletes as well as students.
