The blow out loss to LSU coupled with not winning the conference championship is what kept them out. Had they won the SEC they would have gotten in. Had they not lost to LSU and were the Runners up in the SEC they would have gotten in. Win your darn games and it doesn’t matter.

Twice as many losses as the other teams in contention for that fourth spot, and no conference championship like those two teams have.
It baffles me that anyone tried to argue for Georgia, much less someone as talented as Herbstreit.
