Dabo’s culture is not for everybody. Fortunately, it fits a great many top players perfectly.

Justin Ross ... #1 player out of Alabama for example.

Some believe the SEC hype. Only way to explain it.***

go elsewhere considering our fb success & other school’s not

Luckily players often choose for reasons other than recent win/loss records or we wouldn’t have gotten players like Boyd, Watkins, Hopkins, etc... early in Dabo’s run.

We don't recruit.

We select and we are extremely selective. Character first, potential then talent in that order.

Many of the top recruits who seem to select other teams are just rejects for one of the three reasons listed above. I'm not saying they are all bad kids nor am I saying they aren't talented.

If a kid has one of those requirements you can most assuredly rely that they lack one or both of the others. Some kids reach their ceiling in high school because they become complacent in their work ethic. We don't need that.

Some are unfaithful to their team and have a high potential for trouble making on or off the field. So far our coaching staff has been outstanding at culling through the masses and picking out kids who sign and behave properly. Actually, our kids shame me with their behavior. If only I could behave in such a manner I'd perhaps come closer to deserving the blessings and long life I have enjoyed.

If you're going to stress, stress about those we have, not those we don't. You know this, brother.

People are just funny.

And not.

I think we may frighten off a few with our belief that college football players should actually get an education while they're in college. But we're doing quite well with the ones who accept the challenge!

All good points. I would add, Dabo won't promise x amount of playing time. He also won't promise a particular position if he believes it's not a good fit.
