That is just inspirational chatter . They want to see what Martavis is made out of . If he has done all that has been asked of him , which he has to date ...and he has himself in good physical condition for two a days he will be starting for the Steelers in 2017 .

that statement was more about Martavis proving himself...

rather than the false assertion that he wasn't going to be around for 2017. In about 10-20 years what he did most likely won't be punishable. Maybe less than that, as the NFLPA is trying to get less harsh punishments for pot.

Unfortunately, can't blame the Steelers. Martavis has let the team down for part of one season and all of another season.
