God almighty I wish this deluge would stop! I leave NC after week of rain and come to God awful amounts of rain, flooding and wind here.
Hopefully all will be well in the AM when I head back down mountain to Santa Clara! Goooo Tigers! We got this!

Hope you get some free time in Santa Cruz area without rain.

In 1999 I spent time with the wife's family there. No place like it anywhere else on Earth to me.
Wading in a cold mountain stream in the redwood forest within 40 minutes of leaving the beach and a pier that extends out to deep water, longer than the Atlantic House pier destroyed by Hurricane Hugo.

Absolutely incredible!

Oh yes love this area so far. Up in

Hills just minutes from beach. Santa Cruz is a pretty cool surfing city. Different but cool.

You're telling me...after hitting up 17-Mile Drive this morning, we drove up Hwy 9 out of Santa Cruz this afternoon to Cowell Redwoods State Park. Roads were so saturated with water flowing downhill. Just glad we made it up there and one of those massive redwoods didn't uproot. Those trees are freakin' enormous. I just wished we could see all this stuff in better weather...what a sight I bet it is. Good luck in the AM. GO TIGERS!!
