Spring Football

I'm not a spring football season enthusiast. That's for spring football practice, basketball and baseball. Even now, there is no 100% assurance we will have our 2020 fall schedule. I hope not, but there is a possibility we may yet witness drastic changes in current plans.

Assuming some conferences and teams have a shortened spring schedule and a full 2021 fall schedule, that's placing a huge demand on their time and physical health. For example, during the spring season they would have about one month of pre-season practice and a shortened season of two months for a total of three months. Assuming a fall season of a full 12 game schedule would include one month of pre-season practice and three months of regular season games. Not counting at least one more month if the team goes to a bowl, that's seven months of football and about 22 games. Is that placing too much physical demands on the players?

I, for one, has no interest in attending a football game in the Spring. Not enough folks will attend to pay for scheduling.

What if we were Nat Champs this fall season, played again in the spring with the same results and next fall did it again? That would be pretty dang historic.
