It communicates a commitment to the game, the player and the spirit of competition and improvement of self and team. I love it.

"Clemson will ..." whoever came up with this slogan is genius.

The only one I don't like is:
CLEMSON WILL continue to furnish nation-leading facilities for every sport. Current plans include more than $175 million in new and upgraded facilities in the next few years alone.

Every other one is a commitment to an ideal, goal ... setting our bar higher than any other. This one sounds like ugly marketing. Nowhere else did we put a price tag on what Clemson will do or won't, but this one wants to talk about it instead of letting the ideal speak for itself.

Men -- stand for what you believe in and you won't need to explain yourselves.

I love this. Be committed. Define that for which you stand. Together, we will rise!

Some of these policies have been established for a long time. I like that. It demonstrates a deep culture of integrity, not just flashes of it.

All very well said, I agree, and I have to believe this is something unique today in College Athletics. I don't particularly mind the commitment to top-notch facilities, even if it may be regarded as a marketing ploy. Danny Ford wanted better facilities and it got him fired. My, how things change.... Nonetheless, it can also be simply regarded as providing direct support for the last item on the list:

"CLEMSON WILL compete for championships. Established 1896."

I love it... Go Tigers!

Keeping up with the Joneses by providing cost of attendance and 4 year scholarships, while also highlighting the services that make the Clemson Student Athlete experience unique.
