OL vs DL weight/strength comparison

Something random to think about:

It should be safe to assume that to be in college football shape you have to be able to lift in the top few percentile of HS has-beens (no offense.) So with that said, Our OL averages 313 to GTs DL of 270. That's over 40 lbs!

So, I weigh 165 and consider myself in pretty good shape... Since I'm roughly half the weight of an average "soft" Clemson starting OLman, that would be like me taking on someone who weighs about 20 lbs lighter than me... 145lb. I would think that'd be pretty easy to be honest, I mean that's a big percentage (assume strength too) difference!

I know it doesn't work strictly by strength and weight, that technique and the elusive 'toughness' factor in. In fact, the thing that's scary is if I were to try and line up against a Middle Tennessee version of someone my size, they would have been 135... That's like trying to run block a chick! Post that in the locker room.
