Spectrum seems way behind technology wise

I use SlingTV and they still dont have ACCN so I am looking at options. My mom has spectrum so I checked her system out. Their DVR only works in the room that you are in... you cant watch a recorded show in a different room.
Their streaming app..if you are not at your house on their network.. a lot of the channels disappear because they grant access based on your connection AT YOUR HOUSE. Not via login... so the streaming app is kind of useless.
I had ATT UVerse in 2014 and could watch recorded programs on all the TVs in the house and Spectrum still hasnt caught up to that?

Anyone else experiencing this or did my mom get some old outdated equipment?

I had spectrum and I cut them loose. I now have youtube tv, and I'm starting to love bc I'm now learning my way around. I have 70 channels, and all my local channels plus show time, stars, and the ACCN!!!

The only thing that I don't like, is that pissey remote that comes with Ruku that you have to have to get youtube TV
