When I went back for the first time in 15+ years last year, I couldn't figure out why everything seemed different.

This article explains a lot. Sounds like Augusta National bought the neighborhood where I used to park in people's yards and walk from.

Very neat!

Love the additions of pronunciation in there. My grandpa used to say Si-REEN. Only been there once as a child, and don't recall where we parked or anything. Cool story though

bought a good amount of the property across the road, some of the seedy motels, strip malls and such. Across the road from Magnolia Lane looks like a park now.
