How about running thru fire extinguishers

Jun 29, 2015, 1:07 PM

while a chicken crows and playing a song from a movie in the 60s that was about a time period that was 14 years ago? Where did that land on the list?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Cluckers are #9...oh wait...

Jun 29, 2015, 1:10 PM

running through fire extinguishers is MIAMI'S tradition, not SCARs

college football - FSU's Sod Cementary (hugh?), Tx A&M's Midnight Yell (nope never heard of it either).
Believe me, I'm no casual follower of college football.

over their Midnight Yell.

I visited the FSU sod farm back in the early 90's. It's right by their practice fields. They had that before we had the gravestones unfortunately, I'm pretty sure.

Didn't realize Iowa painted the visiting locker rooms PINK

Jun 29, 2015, 3:27 PM

That is awesome!

For relaxing times, make it Suntory time

Sort of silly. Shows lack of confidence IMHO

Jun 29, 2015, 5:03 PM

Running down the hill = aggressive, coming out swinging, bringing it on!
Painting locker room pink = passive, desperately looking for some sort of a psychological edge.

Based on 1 and 2 this poll is a joke.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

speaking of Hoawrd's Rock, anything new with security?

Jun 29, 2015, 2:45 PM

I don't think we can have any more of it broken off by some wack-job.

Did they copy us in dotting the I?

We're just "dotting" the I

"Even Georgia had to take a peek"

Jun 29, 2015, 4:09 PM

according to Brent Musberger.

After witnessing #1 and #2 (according to this author) I can say without a doubt we should be #1.

I have been to midnight yell at Kyle Field and while cool, it's not all that special. Dotting the I is slow and boring.

Nothing gives one chills like our entrance.

Admit that painting the visitor's lock room pink is pretty funny!

For the millionth time, it's not about "luck"

Jun 29, 2015, 11:40 PM

Good grief this gets annoying. If we let this stupid narrative persist eventually even Clemson fans are going to start believing it.

The rock isn't a good luck charm.

Rubbing the rock is about making a commitment to the team, to the coach, and to Clemson. Touching it is a signature on the dotted line. That's it. In my opinion, this is a MUCH better story than any stupid good luck charm (I'm looking at you, Testudo)

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Well said.

Somebody needs to write one of the game announcers a note on a napkin or something.

Also, the name Death Valley didn't come from Howard's Rock.

Jun 30, 2015, 12:57 AM [ in reply to For the millionth time, it's not about "luck" ]

The name Death Valley came first, from Presbyterian Coach Lonnie McMillion in the 1940s. That's why Samuel Jones brought Howard a rock from Death Valley, California in the 1960s. Don't these guys do any research before writing about traditions?
