My Grandpa will be passing away any day now.

He is all jacked up on Fentanyl and morphine supposedly. He is in mid 90's, so he made it a long way. He went to an old folks home 2 years ago and went down hill fast in there. He got shingles in his eyes after 1 month and started getting sick all of the time in there. Its a nice place, but I don't trust old folks homes, even the nice ones. He still even had his license and a new Acura when he went in. Buying a new car when you are over 90 cracks me up. He should have just stayed home and hired help and never gone to the old folks deal. Luckily for him he never got senile or got dementia. He was bed ridden and his body was giving out, but his brain was perfect. He was talking and happy a week ago. They put him in hospice and they say any day now he is gone. I come from a family of dysfunctional odd people. He was one of the "normal ones". He had all kinds of hobbies and was extremely organized. He bought a motor home with my Grandma and travelled all through Alaska, Canada, the lower 48, and even Mexico. Crazy that he took his cat and my Grandma in 200k or whatever those things cost motorhome around Mexico for a few month while they were in their 80's, all while towing another newer car. He didn't really tell a lot of jokes, but he chuckled a lot. He didn't really get mad too often. I was thinking today of something he did funny he did, or that was a funny scenario when I was young. He worked for Jet Propulsion Laboratories so he was a space guy. We went over to watch the Challenger launch at his house and of course it blew the smithereens. After it blew to pieces my Mom asked him if he thought the people might be ok. He lost his mind. That is ridiculous question my Mom asked. I found it funny today when I was driving. Anyway, here he is. He had a very full life.
