Some stats for fun (or not if you hate numbers)

Here are some random stats I've compiled from the NCAA site in 6 categories I feel like told more of a story of what kind of competition Clemson and OSU defenses have faced this season so far, and where Clemson and OSU would fall in with their other opponents. These are ranks among NCAA teams, not values (Wake does not give up 3 penalty yards per game, just ranked 3rd):

My observations from the tables above:
Teams Clemson has faced can move the ball, but had trouble scoring
OSU faced better scoring teams by far
Clemson faced as many or more top-50 teams in all categories except the penalty ones, but in those categories Clemson faced better 'quality' opponents
3rd down conversion I feel like may penalize explosive teams, so not sure how much stock I put into that. May should have looked for 3rd down conversion efficiency
Fla. Atlantic may be the best offense OSU faced this year (except in 3rd downs)
Both teams are far and away better than anything they will have faced.
OSU gives up nearly a first down more a game than Clemson in penalties
