Bradley is batting .097 He has walked alot (6) and struck out alot (12).
Roth was very good his first outing - a win in relief - he's pitched 9.2 innings and has 10 Ks but given up 14 hits and his ERA is 9.31

There is a more unique way to tick them off.....actually beating them at something. Unfortunately, we seem to have forgotten how to do that in recent years.

Eliminating us from the CWS (then going on to win it) is a low point for Clemson Athletics IMO.

I'm sure Peanut is trying to make fun of the fact that both Roth and Bradley were sent back to the minors. But that's not unusual. MLB teams don't want players like Roth and Bradley sitting on the bench. If they don't have a need for them right then, they would rather send them down and let them play. They'll both be back, write it down.

Junk pitchers with a fastball below 88 MPH

typically don't last too long as a starter at the major league level.
The best pitchers don't require the fanciest arsenal of pitches. When used properly, the best combination of pitches only needs to include a fastball, change-up and slider, but they have to throw hard.
This repertoire gives the pitcher many options because of the variances in speed and break for each pitch.
The key is to throw hard and mix up pitch selections, speed and locations.
Based on what I've seen, Roth is a pure junkballer who lacks a fastball, the ability to throw hard, and trouble consistently locating his pitches. Roth is a polished pitcher with a deep repertoire of pitches, but he just doesn't throw hard enough. That is going to make it hard for him to survive in the majors as a starting pitcher unless his command improves.

Greg Maddux? Although his location was/is waaaay better than Roth's. or anyone else, for that matter! But you don't have to overpower hitters to be successful in the big leagues--hit all the corners consistently, and great ball movement.

at $CU might qualify him for a job coaching middle school baseball if he's lucky now that his hopes of a career in major league baseball are fleeting.

Write this down! Roth will not last in the majors and the only reason he beat us was a stout relief core, I was never impressed with him and just think he was in the right place at the right time, pitchers with weak arms don't last in the majors unless your name is Maddux and Roth is no where close to him!!!

The only reason he beat you was a strong relief core?? Well he may not have impressed you but look at what he did in Omaha and tell me who was better?
What did he do, 3 hit you for complete game in Omaha? Relief core?
Doubt he ever makes it as a starter but could land as middle relief and a left handed who can get left handed hitting out.
Right place at right time, well he did start his run against your mediocre team so you may be right about being at the right place at right time.
No matter what happens with him he has made it to the big show and he has 2 Nat'l titles, which is 2 more than your program has. In fact it is 2 more than your whole conference has won in the past 50+ years.
