Some of you may remember from a tailgating (driving kind)

thread that I mentioned that there is a stop sign in my neighborhood that no one seems to care about. I also mentioned that I like to try to turn left if I see a car coming down the road to make them stop.
Well, I'm sure I'll aero this story, over the last couple days the plot has thickened.
Our neighborhood has a facebook group for discussions (mostly lost dogs). Someone posted a message about a stop sign in the back of our neighborhood that people are ignoring. They basically wanted to point out that it isn't safe for those that live in that part of the neighborhood and asked that folks follow the law. This sparked other folks mentioning other signs (like the one I told you about), speed limits, and golf carts. Then, the fun began.
One dude posts in the thread something to the nature of "Sorry, I'm not sorry for running the stop sign." He's referencing the one I am. He goes own to post this photo from the internets basically saying he doesn't have to follow it because it doesn't have a sticker and the builders put the signs up not the county.
This turns the thread into others pointing out what an asshat he is and that it is still the law. One highway department worker lives in the neighborhood and pointed out his fallacy that they are still legal. The asshat goes own to start mocking people for stopping at the sign and saying all sorts of other nonsense.
I did a quick Google search and I found the following on this dude. 1. He lives right around the corner from me. 2. He is a "house husband" 3. He is from Ohio 4. He is arguing with one person on the facebook and calling her names. This lady is in her 60s and turns out to be his neighbor.
So, there's that.

stickers on residential mailboxes are FEMA markers to signify who should be killed and who should be imprisoned when martial law is declared. Apparently, they missed that the colors also correspond to who gets the newspaper every day and who gets it only on Sunday.
People will believe any kind of ######## you sell them if they want to believe it before you tell them or if it fits their worldview.

But there's a hill!

That's the argument that our idiots make.
The speed limit in our neighborhood is 25MPH (generous for a residential neighborhood, IMO). At the main entrance you drive down a moderately graded hill with houses on one side of the street and the community pool and tennis courts on the opposite side then back up a hill with houses on both sides of the street.
People haul ass down the hill. Other people, particularly those that live on the hill complain about the ass-haulers.
"Well, its really hard to not speed on the hill. And I spoke with a city police officer. And he told me that because of the hill, he's not legally obligated to ticket people for speeding."
WTFF? It's hard to not speed on a hill? Do your brakes not work? Mine do. You know how I know? I DON'T SPEED ON THE ####### HILL!
And because there's a hill he won't ticket you for speeding? As a judgement thing, maybe I understand. And maybe it would be better for police public relations for him to use discretion and offer up a warning. But seriously. No legal obligation to cite you for breaking the law because there's a hill?

I doubt any of them are trained to site-judge speed.
While I typically try to observe the speed limit (hey, there's kids in the neighborhood), I've had people riding my tail as I'm going in the 30-ish MPH range and waiving their arms up when I come to a full and complete stop at the stop sign.

in, but I feel like people are using their accelerator to get to 45 on the hill. My old neighborhood had a bad low speed limit on a long straightaway. Woods on one side, houses on the other side, and a lot of space. I'd maybe go 35 in that zone, but as soon as somebody ran up on my ###, I'd slow to 30. We are all in a race to a traffic light any #### way. Don't go riding my bumper if I am already speeding. Especially when the light is going to catch you anyway.

You can always shoot (his effin brains out) a video and file a complaint with the local cops. I'd say one visit from the Sheriff's office will get his attention.
