Some friends had the audacity to plan their wedding

Oct 3, 2013, 3:55 PM

ceremony to take place DURING the game on Saturday.

Has anyone used the WatchESPN app? Is it worth using up my data for or should I just follow a game tracker?

Whatever you do, always give 100%.....unless it's donating blood

Tell em your sorry you'll miss it.

They'll get over it if they are real friends, if they're not then why worry.

I now have a ton of free time on my hands and all day Saturday to watch college football......

Tailgate the Wedding

Oct 3, 2013, 4:00 PM

I recently got married and was blessed with a bye week. We got luckly with that because we had to pick the date before we knew Clemson's schedule.

So you couldn't aim for a day that didn't fall between

Fall weddings rarely work in the south

Oct 3, 2013, 4:10 PM

Much better in spring/summer. That being said I'm going to a gamecock wedding the week of the BC game that starts at five. Will be tracking stats through the ceremony and making a b-line to the TV after. Which reminds me I was at a gamecock wedding last year during the BC game but we almost got to see Kentucky upset the chickens after.

Where are yuour priorities? I'm misssing family wedding for

Oct 3, 2013, 4:18 PM

BC game. That is why we have open dates. I was married on open date 9/15/73 and my daughter was married on open date 11/12/00.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Are you in this wedding?

Oct 3, 2013, 4:20 PM [ in reply to Fall weddings rarely work in the south ]

I have developed a new system for these silly football season weddings.
A. Am I in it.

B. Would my dad give me a hard time about not showing up for family.

C. Is it going to be a "good" wedding. Or one of those crappy ones that the whole thing happens in the church?

I am retiring from going to lame weddings that I'm not in. Already on the b team as is, don't really get to talk to your friend, and nobody gets the jokes.

Guess I should've expected this...so nobody has used

Oct 3, 2013, 4:39 PM

the app?

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

The app is ok.

Oct 3, 2013, 4:45 PM

As long has you have wi-fi or are on 4G/LTE you should be fine. Remember you'll have to sign in and verify that you're a ESPN subscriber and all of that also. As long as you have one of the major cable/dish providers you should be fine. If you are planning a lot of events during football season, slingbox is much better than that app, IMO.
