Solution to our Gameday Parking issues

Aug 5, 2016, 10:14 AM

Let's just build a monorail tha an carry large number of fans from the outlying parking lots. It wouldn't add to the traffic issues. Only issue, the cost. Just an idea.

Or better yet, a subway running under Lake Hartwell?

Perhaps take a page out of Auburn's playbook

Aug 5, 2016, 10:19 AM

Those of you who are going to the Auburn game this year might want to take advantage of the Tiger bus program (forgot exactly what it's called). Anyway folks park at a mall in Opilika and ride the Tiger Buses to the stadium. Perhaps Clemson could try something similar at the Anderson Mall. This will reduce the number of parking spaces needed. Of course if you plan to tailgate this wouldn't work.

Clemson is about tailgating. The problem is they will not want to allow coolers, food, grill, chairs, etc. on the buses, rail or whatever and then you have to take that stuff back to your car before going into the game.

How about they tear down T Ed Garrison Arena and rebuild a 100,000 seat stadium along with the deforestation of all the land around it which should take care of the parking.

I agree. Make some larger parking areas across the lake set up for tailgating with nice views of the stadium. Have a mono rail deliver fans directly to the stadium by passing thu the oculus.
