Sucks, don't it?

Nov 13, 2018, 9:40 AM

Pelosi warning dems not to remove a woman from a leadership role. I kinda wish she was black so you all could taste your own BS.

It means the process is working. Pelosi goes too far left and the new Reps know their constituents do not want a Pelosi type, so they are running from her.

Who cares if male or female, get the right person in there to move forward.

badge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: wrong

Nov 13, 2018, 2:41 PM

The latter, actually. Republicans are delighted that Democrats are doubling down on the failure of their 2016 campaign strategy.

When the antics of Hillary, Pelosi, and Schumer failed miserably to stop Trump in 2016, what do the Democrats choose to do?

Well, they have chosen to use that exact same strategy for 2020, except this time they are also going to be promoting Occasio-Cortez, who is basically a dumber version of Bernie Sanders with the added comedy of privileged rich kid ditzy-ness.

Republicans will make sure Pelosi's senile behavior, and Occasio-Cortez's airheaded mouth (which is open far too much for her own good) get 24-7 air time. Its going to be a straight up comedy show for the next 2 years. Republicans will let these 2 do the dance for the next couple of years, America will laugh at them because they are idiots, and Trump will get re-elected in 2020 while the Republicans maintain the majority int he Senate and retake the House.

Also, you sound more agitated than normal today. Guess thats what happens when your only identity is politics, and you're experiencing your entire political platform crumble around you.

Nov 13, 2018, 12:46 PM [ in reply to Re: I, for one, hope whoever is the Speaker of the House... ]

for the job and move forward. As such, I'm not sure Pelosi is the best person for the job. I get that she holds a lot of sway(money), but she's horrible on camera. She seems old and unsure of herself whenever you see her on the news, very imprecise in her language. Maybe she's better one on one, but I have a hard time seeing it.

Now, I'm inclined to agree with voting in a woman for speaker. Only makes sense with so many women winning their House races and will force Trump to confront his misogynist/chauvinist insecurities. That's not to delight in irritating the president, it is a character stain he's brought into the office and it would be good for America to see that it can be overcome.

Gonna have to be a tough lady for sure. A democrat version of Sara Sanders with more inclination to tell the truth would be perfect.

LOL Thats working out so well, isnt it.

In 2016, the Democrats used Hillary, Pelosi, Bernie, and Schumer to run on a platform that essentially told Americans that if they weren't in lock step with Hillary, then they were a bunch of racist, sexist, idiotic, basket of deplorables who work for the Russians and hate America.

Well, that failed. Miserably.

Nov 13, 2018, 4:07 PM [ in reply to Dems need to go bold and fresh. ]

If they don't cull through the dilemma of the vast political scope of dem voters they will nominate Hillary again. It's likely in trying to back one particular candidate in the primary the split the vote and get a socialist who will alienate the moderates and independents.

I don't think either of those will swing toward Trump but many will stay home. If the candidate isn't a socialist, no youth vote for a dem. If the candidate isn't a minority, no minority vote for the dems...etc.

I believe the identity politics will be the downfall of the democrat party until they all turn to another candidate who is black and promotes a socialist. Of course I don't expect another to step up like Obama who actually governs with a socialist agenda.

It's always cracked me up when people call obamacare socialism. It was a giant corporate handout. Healthcare and insurance stocks went up big when it passed.

Obama was always really good at making Republicans have to come out against things they'd supported in the past. He's a big reason why they don't really stand for anything today.

Nov 13, 2018, 4:55 PM [ in reply to Even his most "socialist" policy implementation was... ]

Iran, TTP, Paris CA and though he promised to redo our trade agreements in 2007 he did nothing. All those are reflections of a socialist agenda which relates directly to the secular humanism roots.

You can't find the line where the socials ends and the secular humanist begins.

Nov 13, 2018, 5:31 PM

Iran continued the 'lets get nukes and become a world power,' agenda. They are led by religious nuts who have visions of creating a caliphate from which the world will be ruled in the name of Allah.

Paris asked us to do that which India, China, Mexico and other third world competition of our labor and manufacturing jobs. How can we hurt ourselves just to help them? It makes no sense. We cut back on carbon which damages our industry while they run rampant and crush manufacturing in this country? Please.

Pacific trade gave China a leg up on our manufacturing too. Look at the increase in manufacturing jobs which wouldn't be possible with that agreement and without the tariffs.

In 2007 Obama promised to fix Nafta and other trade agreements. He fixed them alright.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpgringofhonor-clemsontiger1988-110.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: We took one up the poot shoot on all of them.

Nov 14, 2018, 8:58 AM

You're, of course, wrong about everything. I'm sure you either know that or simply don't care. The official position of the US, even under Trump, was that Iran had upheld its end of the JCPOA. It was Netanyahu who claimed they violated it, but no other country's intelligence backed him up. And Netanyahu primary charge was less that they still have huge weapons programs. His primary concern was that they were preserving the knowledge to be able to do it later.

The Paris Climate agreement was a consent agreement, meaning no one participant had anything forced upon them. They all agreed to different deadlines based upon their ability. China agreed to a 2030 deadline to begin drawing down its carbon emissions, but it is actually reaching a peak now. So they went above and beyond, coming in far ahead of schedule. India is in a similar position, as it is far ahead of its Paris deadlines. Your charge that they are running rampant is a blatant lie. Both counties have invested heavily in green programs.

As for TPP, I'm not sure what you're saying. You're saying that TPP killed jobs in America while tariffs are creating jobs? I think an economist would snicker at that, but you're welcome to provide any evidence.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

So climate change concerns reflect a socialist agenda?

Nov 13, 2018, 4:58 PM [ in reply to Obama got us in half a dozen agreement which suck. ]

Re: So climate change concerns reflect a socialist agenda?

Nov 13, 2018, 5:22 PM

I think we all know that Trump isn't going to deter NK from nukes. Mostly because they had nukes before he took office. Obama on the other hand, had the opportunity to leave the sanctions on Iran with hope that the regime would fall before nukes were developed and the new guys in charge would abandon nukes for the sake of the Iranian economy.

Obama helped Iran regain some of their economic losses. Why? I believe it is because he is a secular humanist with globalist aspirations. That leaves him hand in hand with socialism. Lifting the sanctions on Iran was a horrible mistake.

Trump has not lifted sanctions on NK.

When God is removed from consideration man becomes the supreme being, worthy of worship and elevated far above his value. The movement on the left appeals to a morality which looks just like man worship.

I know most of you guys are getting uncomfortable with the direction your party is being pulled but that's the price you pay when you promote these wild agendas to excite voters. Now you're stuck with finding a candidate who satisfies the socialist youth, race card playing minorities and economic growth stifling taxes.

Imo, a moderate pub would be just as popular with the dems as a moderate dem due to losing the middle class workers as a base.
