So who's the most likely to be the ACC's 16th team?

Uconn? Helps BC and Cuse feel less isolated WVU? Bet they are already tired of traveling to Big12 sites + natural rival for Pitt ECU? Geographically fits ... Plus huge enrollment & medical school USF? Another Florida school would help to cement the ACC presence in this fertile recruting state UCF? See USF above

no more Florida schools or North Carolina schools imo. My choice would WVU or if we could pry Penn State away from the big 10, they'd be my number one choice.

Penn St. almost joined a few years ago, but the B10 made Hockey important enough to keep them in while gaining Maryland and Rutgers.
W.Va. Would be my first option, but academics hurt their chances. Forget UConn as BC won't allow them. Other choices would be Navy, Cincinnati or perhaps Temple. As FSU and Miami compete for recruits they won't want another Florida school. No SEC school would leave with exception of Vandy due to academics and lesser sports. Forget East Carolina for the same reason given about Florida schools. None of the four ACC schools would accept them.
Go Tigers!

If I had to pick one of the ones you listed I would say UCF
Definitely not WVU or ECU, I would take Cincinnati over them
Unlikely, but I would say go after Penn State

would definitely end up with the better end of that deal. They are a great fit academically and natural fit with Pitt and ND. Might help get ND to become official for football.

With the premise of the question being nd is 15 and losing Maryland there are two more reasons for navy.

For basketball and football I'm assuming not so much. I'm not aware of their strengths in Olympics sports or others but im sure there are pockets. For me it is more of a an academic/prestige pick.

WVU doesn't seem feasible. They will not deal with the pain of a buyout after they just joined the Big 12. There is no other school that adds anything from a football perspective. We want to add a national power, not a mid-major team or another @#$%%^& team from the northeast.

Penn State & Maryland. Let Maryland come back once they get all their bills paid. Don't hold your breath on Notre Dame.

University of Puerto Rico or Rutgers

Rutgers gives the New York market. They are considered the hometown team and the city has promoted this by putting Rutgers football posters thoughout the city. Bus stops, subways, bars, etc. Dont know how many non-grads actually care but it shows theyre supportive and them switching to the ACC would definitely boost enthusiasm. Win-win for all parties. But if not them UPR would be sweet.

emerge with 20 teams each, meaning we'd have to add six more to our current stable.
If so, a massive raid into the B1G would be my preference and after taking in ND as a full member, I'd like to see us go after Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State and, perhaps, WVU.
The super could be divided into four subs with ACC headquarters moved to a neutral site, preferrably out of NC, and a new, non-member-affiliated commissioner appointed.
No slight meant to other programs within the geographical area, but that type of affiliation would sew up the east coast along with much of the midwest, resulting in TV deals heretofore unimaginable...IMO, of course. lol
