throw this out here anyway.....
I haven't had PDQ for a long time. For those who don't know, it's essentially a Zaxby's Chick Fil A hybrid. Well I'm here to tell you folks, it might just be better than both of them. It's definitely better than Zaxby's, Zaxby's is garbage now. I would put their nugs right up there with Chick Fil A's though.
I don't ever hear anyone talk about this hidden gem, so I thought I'd share.

The first two times I went, I had urgent bathroom calls less than an hour later. I swore off for months. These days, Zaxby's is harder to get to so I went gave PDQ another shot. No adverse results and I may just go there today.

meh. They've stepped their game up or something, it's really good. I give Zaxby's a shot once a month or so, used to be about half the time the chicken sucked, now almost every time it's bordering on being inedible. However, there is a Zaxby's in every small no name town in the Southeast now, so sometime's it's the only option.

heathens just can't be helped.
Better than Zaxby's by a mile, then again hospital cafeteria chicken is better than Zaxbys and their "Hey let's put these crispy fries in a clamshell where they'll turn to mush in minutes philosophy."
Better than Chick-fil-A but it's closer. The edge goes to PDQ on tenders and sauces and not being a daycare.

I remember when the one on Laurens Rd opened up, when it was still in the old Victorian house where the steak place used to be.....it was incredible, each time and every time.
Now it's like comparing Dave Thomas's burgers now to the ones Wendy's served before he died.

That chicken is so dry and bland it has to have something. It's just turrible now, and it shows. Every fast food restaurant in Clemson will have a line out to the street, but nobody will be at Zaxby's.

I think it started around 2013...and by 2015/16 when I lived in Clemson, it had reached maximum velocity. I don't know how they stay open any more.

night. It's like they kept it together for a little while, you'd have a bad experience here and there, but not enough to make me quit going. At some point, it all just fell apart.
I do know the exact time and place where I had my last pleasant Zaxby's experience, and it was June of 2017, in Eufaula Alabama. I recall being shocked that it was like Zaxby's of old.

That was my first zaxbys experience. We thought it was the greatest thing ever.
Don’t think I’ve been to one in years and Mt Plastic still doesn’t have one.

started rapidly expanding and airing those commercials where everything was really white. It was a fatal move, now they're like a Dollar General banking on rural residents not having any other fast food option.
