Funny how we didn't hear about anybody getting mumps or many other diseases back before the anti-vaxxer stuff started.

Uh... I think you answered your own question. Combination of anti-vaccination folks and many unvaccinated illegals who haven't had access. I guess you saw the news about the TB cases in the recent border crossings. Sad and sure hope it doesn't get out of hand.

I do not know what I find more detestable, the mumps, or people who make shitup to get other people scared and angry.

I just checked snopes to be sure I wasn't spreading false info. (Can't always trust Snopes either) they confirmed 3 cases of TB, 4 HIV/aids and some chicken pox, but say it isn't true that 1/3 are sick with anything serious.

Yeah, and Fox News was reporting that the caravan included migrants carrying Leprosy and Smallpox. I'm just waiting for Q to tell me who it is that managed to infect these migrants with smallpox considering the disease has been eradicated worldwide for 40 years. My guess is that Hillary Clinton did it.

Forgot to mention that in regards to TB, there have been zero confirmed cases by the migrants currently in Baja Mexico despite some things circulating on Facebook claiming otherwise.

Yeah, I actually noticed that they had updated it from 0 cases to 3 cases. I stand corrected on that one.

WIS TV in Columbia put out an advisory stating that anyone on the Clemson campus between November 21st and 29th have been potentially exposed to the mumps. That includes the Clemson-Carolina game, so that was a lot of people on campus including my wife and me.
At least we both had mumps as children, but we are older.
I agree that you didn't hear much about this until so many stop giving children shots.

It is not only at Clemson but other universities as well. Confirmed cases at a local high school near me. These people that refuse to have their children vaccinated shouldn't be allowed to attend ANY school until they are vaccinated. Polio is also making a comeback because of these people.

Call it whatever you like, but absolutely correct...if you don't have the shots, stay at compound or commune and away from everyone else.

Not only do many of the anti-Vax ppl believe without evidence that vaccinations cause autism, many of them actually believe that vaccinations spread disease as opposed to preventing disease. There are undoubtedly cases every once in a while (less than 1 in 1000) where a person gets sicks from a vaccine, but they conveniently disregard the numerous cases where people do not get sick.
I saw a video on Youtube where a guy was actually claiming that the polio epidemic prior to vaccinations is just deep state propaganda that didn't actually happen.

If you choose not to vaccinate yourself and your kids against mumps, measles, polio etc.
You are a ####### and putting your kids and anyone that is elderly or immunocompromised at risk.
Ideally, the anti-vaccinators could have their own island where they would end up dying from things like whooping cough because they refuse to see the hard evidence.

As someone who has had a child in the last few years, we asked my wife's doctor about the increased chances of various illnesses, diseases, or disorders that could be caused from getting the vaccines.
Her response was that there is an increase of those things happening, but the increase is fractions of a percent. On the other hand, she said that not getting the vaccines would increase our child's chances of getting other illnesses and disease by huge amounts if she happened to ever be exposed to those things.
After that explanation, I have no idea why anyone would decide not to have their child vaccinated.
