National Championship Wall Hanging - Need Opinions

I have finally decided on what my wooden wall hangings are going to look like, but I need some opinions. Do I go with the 2017 College Football Playoff logo or do I go with 2016 without the logo?
People are still confused about it (as am I), but I think if the logo is involved it needs to say 2017 because Clemson won the 2017 College Football Playoff National Championship game but won the 2016 National Championship.
Thoughts?
Would love to know what you guys think and any suggestions are welcome!

Correct usage on both logos is quite impressive, even one of the vehicles on parade day had the wrong CFP logo. I'd go with 2016 if it were me. Not as cool of a logo, but we were 2016 National Champions. Also they could change that CFP logo one day and 20 years from now it might be confusing.

That is what I am worried about (people forgetting about it when the logo changes), and it should definitely still be around in 20 years (unless somebody sets it on fire). It is made from wood from a close to 100 year old barn, so it isnt going anywhere anytime soon.

The National Championship of 1981 was won in 1982, but is known and seen as 1981.

Just like we were the 1981 National Champions.
Heck I don't like using the 2017 logo even for taking about the playoffs, because 2 of the 3 games in the playoffs happened in 2016.

I think you should offer both. Lots of people, myself included, like the new logo.
Just make the bottom piece on the 2017 logo version say "Playoff National Champions"

To be consistent with our previous National Championship, we are 2016 National Champions.
Just like we were 1981 National Champions when the Orange Bowl victory that clinched it was played on January 1, 1982.

It is definitely clear as mud!
I personally like the CFP logo with 2016. I know that isn't correct, but to me it says that Clemson won the 2016 national championship and I like the logo, and if it is going in my house then it doesn't matter if it isnt technically correct.
For the public, I think I will probably offer both since people on here had differing opinions.

The playoff is a new thing and I still don't think people are used to saying 2017 College Football Playoff Champions and relating that to saying 1982 Orange Bowl Champions. Those are one in the same.
Personally, being a fan of the new logo, I would want mine to have the 2017 indicator, as worded above (or some shortened version so it fits well). But, I would want it to be correct; and I wouldn't want the 2016 CFP logo.

Update: I have taken multiple orders and 100% of them have gone for the 2017 CFP logo. Crazy how it has gone so far.
