This is great, we have the second lowest chance of winning

Dec 6, 2017, 3:47 PM

the title, per eSECpn, only higher than Oklahoma.

That's right, per eSECpn the 4 seed has the highest chance to win the playoffs, by a wide margin over the 3 seed, then the 1 and 2.

Just can't make this stuff up.

Edit: forgot the link

So that either tells you ESPN bias or seeding screw up

Dec 6, 2017, 3:56 PM

personally I think it is a seeding screw up. If CFP committee is going to go by the "eye test" that got Bama in, then they should go by the "eye test" in seeding. The debate was that Alabama would beat Ohio State on a neutral field. Well, Alabama would likely be favored and beat UGA on a neutral field. They ARE favored over the 1 seed on a neutral field.

So with all that considered, how is Bama the 4 seed? The committee got the teams right, but screwed the pooch on the seeding.

Actually, I think it's the contrary to your line of thinking. It's all ESPN bias.

ESPN should move to Colorado. No need to be smoking seeds

That's probably as accurate as their infamous FPI.***

but... but... but, then there wouldn't be a negative spin on it... i mean, do you hear meteorologists say "monday: partly cloudy and an 80% chance it wont rain"?
