SEC wouldn't want it -
Nothing at all to gain for us (South Carolina).

I don't have to play the game. I sit and watch on tv. So calling me "chicken" really doesn't make any sense one way or another - except if we were in middle school.
A rematch makes no sense- and won't happen.

make a point.
Alabama wanted a rematch with LSU because it was the only way they could win a national title- since they had lost.
LSU had beaten Bama. They wanted to play anyone- for the national title.
Ok State would have loved the chance to play either one - for the national title.
SC and Clemson aren't in that situation.
There is no benefit in the world to South Carolina to play Clemson again in a bowl game- after defeating them in the last game of the season.

Right on. And if we won then we would have to have a rubber match. You get one chance, and you have to make the most of it. Some days it's Diamonds, some days it's rocks.

the bowl chooses the opponents, not the conf. in this case, the sec provides the teams, the bowl, in order of hierarchy, chooses the team they want.

conferences work out deals all the time with bowls to get their teams in good situations.
Happens every year.

I'd take it in a heartbeat! I can't wait til next year for another shot at them...With time for a few adjustments, I really think if we show up & play our best game we can beat this team. Not to mention how crazy it would be there...

What would be different?

Would it take a few months for Morris to come up with a better game plan? Would our defense have a better idea how to stop them on 3rd down? I'm hungry for a win too, but what do you think the difference will be between playing them a month from now in the GA Dome where we have always struggled as opposed to the last four seasons?

Probably 99/44%(Ivory soap) ain't going to happen, but I for one hope we don't. What would it prove? The regular season match up that we have played every year since the late 1890's is one of the longest running ,and most bitter rivals in all of college football. Getting a rematch proves nothing, and chances nothing that has transpired since Dabo became head coach. The coots have won 4 straight, and even if we win the rematch, the 4 straight victories stand.Period. I for one think a better test,if certain scenarios play out would be the Sugar against Florida, but indications probably have us going up against those other Tigers from LSU. Both teams woild present unique challanges for our Tigers, and would actually be a better barometer of how we stand against the better part of the SEC. a rematch with the coots, other than ticket sales really doesn't do much in terms of Clemson future potential.
