If you recall, Iraqi's parliament voted to expel all U.S. troops from Iraq.
Should we honor that or not?

You actually still think the Iraq invasion should have happened.
That's interesting.

We definitely discussed it here 17 years ago.

Those who were correct about Iraq (as in it shouldn't have happened) were continuously questioned on their patriotism, called out for not supporting the troops, and it was even suggested those who spoke out against Bush and the war should be prosecuted.
Ask xtiger. He's the only one still left here who participated in that.

According to those chicken hawks, if you didn't support the president or the war, you didn't support the troops! Go eat some Freedom Fries.

"Whether you support our president or not, pray for the troops"
They wouldn't need all of this prayer if we weren't sending them into a war.

Iran will not go to war with America.

There was no war to avoid. That's just something some dumb people said to criticize Trump's killing of the world's current leading terrorist.
No, I do not believe we will leave Iraq. I believe since Trump turned up the sanctions on Iran and added troops to the region we will elevate the pressure on the Iranian people to overthrow Iranian leadership. Maybe that's the best way to deal with it, idk.
The only thing I know for sure is that no matter what America does it will turn out sucky in the end. There is not fixing the middle east. Our most important function in the region is to keep Israel at bay. If we have no presence there, there is no way we can ask Israel to stand down.

I believe, before he leaves office he will destroy Iran's nuclear facilities. I expect wailing and gnashing of teeth but the world will be better off in the long run. No one can argue with that.

We absolutely should get out of Iraq.
Jan 9, 2020, 8:32 PM

It doesn't belong to us. We should get our of Afghanistan as well.
We are a foreign, invading force in both countries and still occupy both.
We protect Israel and the rest of them can fight it out like they've been doing for centuries.
Would you want your child to die preventing Iran from invading Iraq?
It's time to actually respect our troops and get them the helll out of other peoples wars.
