1) Why would he at this stage? It's Spring football and TL hasn't had enough chance to earn it yet.
2) He is saying he is as good as Deshaun was in Spring practice before he ever played a game or had the system wired. He is loving TL's potential.
3) He thinks Kelly Bryant is very good and TL has to beat him out still.
4)TL will have his chance. There would be no upside to giving TL the starting position this early.

It's not that difficult. It's worth noting that Dabo says we have a starter, Kelly Bryant. Use your imagination, and think about the possibilities, then narrow that down with logic and common sense to arrive at the likely answer(s) to your question.

thrown a meaningful pass in his entire Clemson career heading into 2014. And with Chad Kelly removed from the program that spring, it was basically just the two of them.
TL is not only battling against an incumbent starter that just lead his team to an ACC title and playoff appearance, but also a couple of other very talented young QBs (including another 5*).

KB was helpless vs. Al.
TL has the Arm to neutralize that type
of defense, besides KB in Ray Ray's old
position would be awesome in My opinion
just for the possibilities.
