Can we get out of ACC for basketball?

Notre Dame is in for all sports other than football so why can't we withdraw for basketball? I've been going to games since Bobby Roberts was coach. The Board of Trustees doesn't care about basketball and neither does the admin. Apparently not many fans do either. Why not recognize the facts and move on? Brownell is just the latest victim.

Why would we do that? We make a lot of money from the other ACC schools making the tournament.

it wasn’t that long ago we were the 4th best program as far as wins in the ACC for a 5 or 6 year period. We just need a lot better coach.

What else? We have decent facilities now. That was the problem before but changed four years ago.. We also have decent talent despite what others might think.
