So I'm still in Greenville, NC and it is as bad as the news

Oct 10, 2016, 7:49 PM

Is saying. Many roads have been washed away and the rivers are still rising. I have no idea when the plant at which I work will be reopening, but the bridge to said plant will be closed until further notice. Please keep me and my loved ones in your prayers.

tomorrow and parents probably the next day. Not as bad as eastern NC, but power still out, boil water, phones out, so just going to stay away a little longer.

You and family, as well as the Greenville community will be in my prayers. Both Carolinas are suffering.

Go Tigers!

Will do! Asking the same for folks in Faynam...

It's bad news when the rescue trucks end up needing rescuing themselves ... but that's how it is down here.

My daughter and her family left here today and returned to Summerville SC. They now have power and their house was not damaged. They probably just need to throw away everything perishable and re-stock, so they're some of the lucky ones.

Update

Oct 11, 2016, 10:31 AM

I went to work for a little over an hour today before my boss asked us to leave due to the flood severity. I work maybe a mile away from Tar River and it has risen to the point that it will be flooding the only two bridges out of Greenville (both of which I would have to cross to make it to work) so I am going to have to hunker down for a few more days it looks like.

Hang in there, friend.***
