I've heard more than once that TiGER Team "outplayed" Coots.

Saying..they did seem to be putting a lot of effort into their play, but I wouldn't say our Clemson Team outplayed Coots.

I would say we made a lot of dumb mistakes..in trying!

What say you? GoTiGERS..keep plugging!

Well we didn't QUIT - which I guess is better than the FSU game and a slight improvement over last year's contest.

In a game where having the football is the ideal situation, giving the ball away - despite how well things go in between - isn't outplaying someone.

We got beat. Who's to say that if we don't turn the ball over, the Coots continue to go to the Roland/Robinson matchup? If Adam doesn't muff the punt, Tajh maybe throws a pick on the ensuing drive.

You never can tell, which is why not turning the ball over is usually the easiest way to win a ballgame.

1) Ball striped from Tajh, 2) Hit the ball from behind out

Dec 3, 2013, 10:18 PM [ in reply to Re: Definitely didn't outplay them...their D was responsible for ]

of Humphries Hand on punt return, 3) Safety intercepting Watkins pass (credit him for not biting on the fake and keeping an eye on the ball and not the receiver).

Not sure if your trying to be smart, but I think that qualifies as several.

They were the better team. USC had I believe no turnovers. I am certainly not a defensive coach by any means but the middle seemed open all the time. Shaw is a good player but he seems to play great against Clemson.

Small classless minority. Most CU fans admit we got beat***

The big cry last year was that we were not physical

Dec 3, 2013, 10:25 PM

enough...other than the FSU game, which was hard to gauge at all because it was over in 4 min,we were definitely the more physical team in every other game we played this year.

Usually the team that outplays the opponent wins. So no.***
