it was bc he was looking at other schools after committing, we had him and Bellamy and basically pulled his offer

to Tennessee after our coaches told him that if he goes on the visit to Tennessee that they would pull his scholarship. He regretfully took the visit thus his schollie was pulled.
Kid looks like a good back, he's just not Clemson material.

Dooley did just kick his all S.E.C. receiver off the team for failing drug tests. I'm not saying Sammy is a bad kid, in fact, I'm sure he's a good kid, but lets stop throwing around "character issues" crap. We made a mistake in not taking Lane. We played hard ball because we had Bellamy on board all ready, and now we are paying for it.

He didn't just visit Tennessee, he visited there on Clemson's BIG recruiting weekend when everyone was at Clemson. He was gonna switch to UT regardless IMO.
