Probably the same as you when a Clemson player is in trouble, they understand that every kid wasn't born and raised already being at that school and understand that after 4 or 5 years, maybe sooner, that kid will be gone.

I don't let the decisions of 18 to 22 year old effect my emotional wellbeing.

Young men are some of the dumbest creatures on this planet. I know. I was one many moons ago. I'm just glad my mistakes weren't sent around the globe at light speed on this new fangled internet thingy.
