Show some competitor respect for Deebo

Dec 3, 2018, 7:04 PM

He could have gone pro last year after a season ending leg injury, but didn't. He's no quitter; hes a dang good football player. He was giving 100% against us literally to the last seconds ran off the clock on the last play down 21. He's a great athlete and a Gamer. Even though he's a Gamecock, you have to respect that

The choices you make in life have consequences.

He chose to be a coot. Now, he’s chosen to sit out their bowl game. So much for Forever to thee. For him, it Forever to me.

By your logic Spurrier wasn’t a quitter either then?

Spurrier

Yes, he quit on Scar and then in a couple of years he left in midseason.

Really can’t blame him...

Dec 3, 2018, 7:15 PM

for bailing on the Food Court Bowl. Will 10,000 coot fans even care enough to drive the 90 miles for a matchup with the wahoos?

Cycling in indeed...

I had a lot of respect for him

Given the fact that he already suffered a major leg injury

Dec 3, 2018, 8:26 PM

last year, and this is a truly meaningless bowl game, I honestly cannot condemn him for this decision. (ARGGHHH, just got a sudden headache from defending a COOT, never mind!)

He's a pretty good player for sure...but not #ALLIN

Dec 3, 2018, 8:29 PM

He's letting his team and fans down. But whatever....could give a chit either way about another coot quiting on his school. Wish him the best in the NFL as he's a baller.

I have no problem with him not playing in a meaningless bowl. He has had multiple injuries and fought hard in ever game he played. Time for him to take care of himself.

I'll pass...don't really expect any college player to give

Dec 3, 2018, 8:56 PM

up and stop playing. Oh wait hasn't he pulled out of the bowl game?

Deebo and all the others bolting before

Dec 3, 2018, 9:33 PM

the bowl game are setting a bad precedent and not honoring their commitment to the university that gave them a "full" scholarship - that is, to play out their career, every game, for good or bad, sickness, health, all that. A player can get injured any game, any time, game one, five, eleven, thirteen, whatever. Why not just not play the season then? He had a great game against us, and yes he left it all on the field, but too bad we left him running wide open about a third of the time because of busted coverages. Would've liked to see our secondary be more competitive, and BV certainly agreed with this sentiment after the game.

I couldn't imagine when I played four years of scholarship ball at a local school that I would've not played the last game and honored my commitment to play through to the end, win or lose.

So be it, let's move on.
