Should players be able to be freed of the school they

Feb 9, 2013, 10:50 AM

sign a NLI with, if that school fires the head coach or their position coach, after signing day? The situation at USC firing the OC and the rumors that everyone knew it but kept it hush through the signing period so no recruits would be lost, makes me ask. The more I have read about recruiting it seems relationships are the most important thing for many recruits. Seems unfair when the one who developed the realtionship is dismissed after signing.

Your thoughts?

If teams didn't hide things like this till after nsd I'd say the players should know

They committed to the school not the coach.

However it's not exactly right to say that when teams purposely keep coaches on to get elite recruits then let them go once they get a players signature.

i find it hard to believe USC is going to last under kiffin with the reputation he continues to build. If you commit to a piece of c rap coach then don't be surprised when stuff like this happens.
