Should FSU get the same punishment as Penn St

Oct 11, 2014, 8:53 AM

The original punishment, basically almost the death penalty. If they are as bad as rumored with even the Tally PD involved in cover ups, they deserve it!

NOT the same crime
PS involved a Coach
FSU a player
yes some will agree both schools acted like a cat in a litter box

Its multiple players

Oct 11, 2014, 9:01 AM

And if Tally PD is in on the cover ups, Im willing to bet dumbo and the FSU AD/Admin are too

In reading the NY Times article and others, it is very likely senior athletic officials including Jimbo Fisher are involved up to their necks in cover ups....of MANY incidents. So, yes, FSU deserves the same penalty as Penn State. Anything less would be a slap on the wrist, IMO. We as a culture can no longer accept special handling for special people in relation to domestic violence. This is bigger than Winston and FSU is in real serious jeopardy here.

How many of the players were suspended by Jimbo when the charges were dropped?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

When dumbos suspension includes dressing out for warm ups

Oct 11, 2014, 9:05 AM

And coaching on the sidelines while getting plenty of air time on national tv.... I doubt if his suspensions are suffice

Slow down don't get too excited! Why don't we wait and see what the facts look like before we plan their execution

You must have missed where I said IF

Oct 11, 2014, 9:07 AM

The rumors are true they deserve it. IF being the key word.

At the end of the day

Oct 11, 2014, 9:10 AM

The NCAA has no teeth and PSU essentially got a slap on the wrist. So if they get that, it won't matter. They'll miss a couple bowls and a few schollies and be right back to ###### the competition in a few years.

Yes they should...

Oct 11, 2014, 9:15 AM

They are a law-breaking, lawless program, covering up obvious crimes in order to win football gamees.

Honestly, I think FSU should be kicked out of the ACC. I know that won't happen though. They should get severe sanctions, enough to make it hard to compete for a while. And they should be forced to set up a process where domestic violence, rape, theft, and mayhem can't be swept under the rug.

Check out Fox Sports report on the coverup. Pretty detailed.

If the school is found to have hindered the investigation

Oct 11, 2014, 9:58 AM [ in reply to Yes they should... ]

of a rape charge, I'd say they will face some serious consequences. But then you look at penn st.

Who knows...

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

What did we get n how does it compare to penn st's

Oct 11, 2014, 9:28 AM

ultimate penalty?

Re: Should FSU get the same punishment as Penn St

Depends. Would have to be a despicable crime on an institutional level. Which it seems to be but must be proven first.
