Serious Question About Leggett.

May 30, 2014, 3:35 PM

I refrained from commenting all season about Jack. I had not made up my mind about his future with Clemson. But, after this debacle (continuing with bases loaded, no outs, and no runs), does anybody seriously believe Leggett deserves another year at Clemson?

I think this is (or should be) his "Wake Forest" game, just like Bowden and Hatfield.

As I've been saying for over a month...CWS or retire...only

options for Jack.

Today did not go the way of making it to the CWS.

His train left the station early in the year and he was not on it. Heck it only took over 30 games for him to see that Krieger was a liability defensively but a terrific hitter. Finally made the change necessary and things got some better. I have never met Jack but it is clear that he is hard headed, too old to coach and clueless this year. If we stay with him look for another year or two of suffering.

jack leaving maybe the answer....but hes not on the mound pitching! clemson hasnt had a great pitching staff in quite some time. esp. the bullpen maybe hes not recruiting pitchers...i khow he makes the decision to change the pitcher, but no matter the coach...no pitching no winning.....period.

Jack will not be fired to begin with. However, if he refuses

to retire or to step down, he may be asked to submit his resignation.

And, I don't believe making changes in the staff will cut it.
