I agree, just hope Florida State does it before Alabama does. If Florida State loses and 'Bama crushes Florida, 'Bama will move to #1 because they beat a 11-1 SEC powerhouse.That's the way ESPN rolls.

And the best case scenario would be for FSU to dominate and then for Florida to expose Alabama's one-dimensional offense (win or lose).

I still can't figure out how they're so highly ranked after 3 squeakers in a row. I fervently hope that FSU crushes them. And then I hope Florida turns right around and beats Bama; that would make for a perfect SEC scenario. Also hoping Auburn beats Bama.

ESPN says FSU should be on upset watch as they'll face the best defense they've seen all year:

No. 13 Florida State (9-2) at No. 12 Florida (10-1), 7:30 p.m., ESPN. Line: FSU by 2. On paper, Florida State has the edge in a variety of categories. It has the best offensive player in the game and a defensive front with the ability to overpower a shaky Florida offensive line. Its defensive backs should have an edge on the Florida receivers, too. But Dalvin Cook will be going against the best defense he has played this season -- that Gators unit is as salty as it gets. The Florida defensive backs should also win their matchups against the Florida State receivers. So this one is no slam dunk for Florida State, even though it has won four of the last five. If the Gators can get Kelvin Taylor going a little bit and shut down Cook, they will have an opportunity to squeak out a win.

I guess stats don't mean anything to sports writers.
Total Team Defense - Boston College is 1st overall, Clemson is 5th, UF is 6th
Defensive Efficiency - Clemson is 2nd, BC is 3rd, UF is 6th
Rushing Defense (which will be important b/c of Cook) - BC is 1st, UF is 9th
Passing Defense - Clemson is 3rd, UF is 12th
UF does lead BC and Clemson in scoring defense, but that one stat doesn't equate to the best overall defense they'll face this year. Of course, UF does play in the SEC...(snicker)

Yeah they do play in the SEC and that is not everything. Point and case there are other teams in the top four in the nation and all four of them are not SEC teams.
