are the country gentlemen pulling for...

Oct 14, 2014, 12:20 PM

ND or FSU? Can't decide myself. I don't think I've ever pulled for Notre Dame in my life but FSU is starting to get under my skin the last couple of years.

Your bylaws do not allow

Oct 14, 2014, 12:21 PM

you to cheer for any non-SEC team, right?

SEC SEC SEC

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

not so fast, mate...

Oct 14, 2014, 12:25 PM

There are plenty of schools in the SEC I cannot stand. I pulled for ECU v. gamecocks. Anyone who beats UF or UT are friends of mine as well. Maybe add Auburn to that list.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That's good to know. One of your compatriots said they would

Oct 14, 2014, 12:41 PM

pull against "his Dawgs" if it meant Bama would go to the National Championship and uphold the banner of the SEC last year on some radio show. Just yesterday on Finebaum you had a Miss (or was it Miss St) fan who said he would pull against his team to the rival for the conference to be in the playoffs. And then there is USuC fans . . . don't even get me started.

For many

SEC = cult
Finebaum = holy man

Watch out from being "blinded by the light"

I was once told by a Dawg fan that all good UGA fans hated Auburn as much as GT. You not a good fan?

I hate Notre Dame. If I must, the I guess I will reluctantly pull for FSU.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I want FSU to beat ND into the ground.......Then

Oct 14, 2014, 12:22 PM

lose 3 or 4 straight themselves.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Not pulling for either, but pulling against ND.

Oct 14, 2014, 12:23 PM

And Yes, there is a difference.

I hate and despise and loathe the Notruh Dames.

That's a tough one! Either way they are both coming to the valley next year to get SMACKED! I hope they are both ranked top 10 next year

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Clemson fans need to phocus here..

Oct 14, 2014, 12:25 PM

it's either lose 2 ACC games

or

go undefeated

Count my vote for the former... Thanks.***

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

you'd rather fswho go undefeated than loose 2

Oct 14, 2014, 1:37 PM

Acc games?

Brad Brownell: Only Larry freaking Shyatt has a WORSE overall winning percentage among Clemson basketball coaches since 1975. Let that sink in. It's Larry Shyatt & then Brad Brownell.

I hate ND.

Oct 14, 2014, 12:27 PM

I love Catholics but I hate that school and the way they present themselves as God's school. It's a personal tradition. Besides that, I want them badly in the Orange Bowl.

An FSU loss does nothing to help Clemson, so....

Oct 14, 2014, 12:35 PM

as much as I hate to say it, go Noles.

Re: An FSU loss does nothing to help Clemson, so....

Oct 14, 2014, 12:45 PM

But two does, and FSU has proven that they can lose to a no-name from time to time.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Clarification: An FSU loss to the Bee Bee Heads...

Oct 14, 2014, 12:50 PM

does nothing to help Clemson.

At this point, FSU either needs to lose two ACC games or go undefeated.

Either scenario likely puts Clemson in the Orange Bowl provided, of course, Clemson remains unbeaten.

Where does the term Bee Bee Heads come from and how

Oct 14, 2014, 5:22 PM

does that relate to Notre Dame? I've heard them called that for years but don't know why. Google was no help (links to articles about ND in the Sacramento Bee, spelling bee at ND, etc).

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-15yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

FSU must lose 2 conference games.

Oct 14, 2014, 12:51 PM [ in reply to Re: An FSU loss does nothing to help Clemson, so.... ]

A ND victory does nothing to help us. Where are those loses likely to come from? Louisville is a possibility. Boston college maybe? IDK

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Louisville, BC or Miami...

Oct 14, 2014, 12:53 PM

and admittedly, losing two of those three is a long shot.

Not pulling for FSU but pulling for Jameis Winston

Re: are the country gentlemen pulling for...

Oct 14, 2014, 12:43 PM

Wish both could lose

badge-donor-05yr.jpgringofhonor-74tiger.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Sadly, Clemson needs FSU to win out.

Oct 14, 2014, 12:46 PM

Or lose two conference games, which is unlikely. If FSU loses only one game they will fall out of the playoff and bump us out of the Orange Bowl. So, like it or not, go Criminoles!

Notre Dame.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I think I can answer that for most on here....

Oct 14, 2014, 12:48 PM

...pray for a meteor.

We kind of do the same thing with UGA/USuC...sorry but you probably knew that. Just sayin'. ;)

I hope they both lose.***
