I am no fan of the Florida Gators but; there are two sides to every story. Somewhere in the middle is the truth. You can not fault his passion for wanting to win.
Bowman made his choice and I, for one, am happy with his choice. Clemson will select a real good running back to take his slot. No problem. Go Tigers.

He let the UF coaches continue to recruit him after he was on campus. Obviously NOT all in, wanted to be given a spot rather than earn it. He didn’t fit the Clemson model.

You as much as knew this was probably happening. Its just like Urb and Spiller. It is also an NCAA violation. While I wish Spiller could have wised him up if he is this immature we will somehow manage to get by. I can't help but think he expected to come in and be at the top of the depth chart immediately. I know he had some hard personal things with his family, but I suspect being like 5th on the depth chart also played a part in his decision. With a little patience, he probably would have worked up to being the starter here next season, but that's not the path he wanted and I respect his decision to be closer to home. Wish him all the best. Seems like a good guy.

But those that gave him the benefit of doubt now know,his departure had to do more with not being "the Guy" than anything else.His little Troll yesterday proved that.
He'll fit in with Mullen. Mullen started that crap yesterday when he went after another team's player and should have been suspended along with his players.

It’s too bad. We are going to need the next great RB to replace Travis. I like Dixon, but it would be awesome to get that star power there, to maintain the multi dimensional threat we’ve enjoyed the last few years.

I don't think he would have lasted long at Clemson-
Star power or not.
If he pulled a stunt like that while at Clemson- he would have been benched and then end up in the portal.
I feel- he wanted it all and didn't want to work for it.
I saw somebody say something about family problems-
DW4 had family problems-but one of the most respectful kids to every play football.

the Shipley kid coming in is the real deal. He also comes in the door as a receiving threat out of the back field. That's something Travis had to work hard to master. Running Back position will be just fine next year.
We will always miss Travis however because of his leadership and his love for Clemson

they get the ball... we found that in Travis, we didn't know we had it until he got to campus. I will never compare any incoming recruit to Travis or CJ, that is too great of expectations to put on any freshman...
Shipley is good and deserving his ranking, but he's got to prove that he will be able to fill those shoes... Travis is arguably the greatest RB in ACC history, the numbers and records say that he is... no recruit needs to be expected to live up to that kind of hype...
