Has Saban always been like this or is he just tired of coaching? To be quite frank, he acts like a bratty little D***head. Talking down to reporters, cutting people off, answering everything with an attitude. Every time I listen to him I am more and more thankful for Dabo.

When things were not going his way, he has always been very testy! If he wins 3 by 30+ then the pressure is off. But once Citadel takes them to 4th qtr, or players get more penalties or if qb has bad day, the Saban is short answered and arrogant with snappy responses! If Dabo did the same thing, he would be slaughtered by the media but its ok for Little Nikki!

I'm not sure what recent interview or press conference you are referring to, but Saban has actually mellowed quite a bit over the last several years.
He's snapped a couple of times recently. However, his overall demeanor is a lot less negative than it used to be.

You think he feels less pressure now that Dabo and Clemson are on top ?
Maybe the old boy wanted a worthy adversary but the SEC just couldn't produce one for him .
He's probably had a major unclinching .

I think Dabo showed him honey attracts more flies (players) than lemons and he needed to soften his public image.
It's also tiresome to be totally on edge 100% of the time. Age forces one to more selectively use energy.
The pressure is no different than before. Losing hurts just as bad as ever.
