That's hard to believe considering our schedule

I think most have and angle to help a team, conference or area. I think that happens in most polls that don't have any accountability.
I believe this team at the least deserves a chance to go to a regional. We are blessed with a lot of young talent. I believe our pitching will be greatly improved with the recruits coming in next year and the experience/growth of our freshman and sophomore pitchers.
Love the ability of this team to bounce back from losses and being behind a good bit. 20 runs didn't help today..lol
Go Tigers!

I know the SOS is high, but so is the number in the loss column right? Where would you expect us to be? I really dont know how it works with baseball.. love to see this team finish strong and make a postseason push.

South Carolina was 4th in that RPI poll. They are 8-8

against top 50. We are 16-15 against top 50. 2-1 versus the coots. We have won more top 50 game sthan the coots have played, so I would say, based on whatever metric he uses, that we should be much higher in his poll.

Maybe I am confused but isn't RPI just a formula?

I can understand different rankings by random people but it RPI is a formula then it should be up for debate.

What purpose does the RPI serve? I don't understand how we are so high in RPI but not even ranked in top 25.

we've played 32 games vs. Top 50 teams (17-15)

that's 2/3 of our games against the Top 50, a top 5 hard schedule. We've played 16 games against non-top 50 teams. That's brutal.

we went 4-1 this week with 3 wins over top 10 teams (remember the last FSU game was on Monday after the rankings had come out).

the rankings are meaningless not the other way around. RPI

and SOS are used by the selection committee as the 2 of the 3 primary components. Rankings in polls are not used as all. Unless we fall apart we are safely in the tourney and we are contending for a regional host with a strong finish.
We are in the top 10 in RPI and SOS --not sure where the OP saw RPI at 37 - they are not looking at something correctly
