SO..if Spur does leave now or soon, whom would Coots buy to save...

Nov 2, 2014, 3:57 PM

Their storied program he made in the last 5-6 years? Whomever, I would bet it will be a BiG Name HC that will be paid many $Millions per year to win again quickly since they have tasted the sweets of victory..particularly over the famous Clemson program which has 24 (to be 25 imo) more head-to-head wins in this state rivalry.

Whom do you think that new HC might be..iyo?

I don't know..but simply say good luck since we've got a 45 year old HC who is getting better & better with all his responsibilities.

GoTiGERS..keep recruiting, winning & beating the BiG Boys in the BiG Bowl Games!

Phil Fulmer...

Seriously, if the coots fail to make a bowl and Spurrier retires, there will not be a quality candidate willing to consider the coots.

I think they go after Mark D'Antonio. He won't come, but I think he served time. ... I mean, played at SCar.

Is fulmer old enough to meet the minimum age requiremet for a coot head coach yet?

He's next on the list of Jacka$$es behind Spurrier, so he'd have to be at the top of the list. ;)

Hate to say it, but Venables will be high on that list.

Nov 2, 2014, 4:12 PM

Rivalry or no (rather novelty or no), SCAR would be crazy not to come knocking, & Venables would be crazy not to answer. Great resume, & now has ties to the area for recruiting. Would suck for us, but makes a lot of sense. Probably too much sense for it to actually happen though.

You and millions of other Clemson fans pray for that to be the truth, BV being with us a very long time. Right now I love BV, and would hate to see him go way more than Morris. But IF he went to the coots, my love for him would turn quickly into a very bitter hate!!!

If we ever lost Dabo I would be making every effort, if I were the Clemson AD, to get BV to be head coach. He brings a mental and physical toughness we were lacking before he got here.

I did hear them talking about BV on the coot Radio just a couple weeks ago. Well they said they think that BV would be or should be at the top of their list. If BV did take a job there, I would hate his guts for the rest of my natural life. If we fire and he went there then fine. But don't leave us for any reason and go there and try to beat us!!!!

What type of coach could a Vandy ,Ky,NCS, bc hire ?

Nov 2, 2014, 4:12 PM

Though their fanbase thinks they could hire ANYONE, truth is they are not a destination for a HOT coach. Lou was done when he went there, Steve only went there after Florida AD told him he'd have to interview. They're not just the University of Second Choice for players, coaches will go anywhere else if they have a choice.

When I hear Coots say "we can get any big name coach" I think about all the storied programs that CAN'T get big name coaches.

Yet somehow Coots think they can get anyone?

I've (honest to God) seen where they're suggesting Muschamp is fired at UF, hired to be their DC and after serving a year or two under Spurrier, takes over the reins. And they all seem to be welcoming that idea.

I live right out of city here, and I will listen to their coot radio for as long as I can stomach it maybe twice a week. The majority of the fan base I believe are wanting a coach in mid 40s so that if he can win there, they are thinking match any offer to keep them for a while. That is what I'm getting from their radio conversations.

With each decommit, this coot lbb posts a new coot topic to try and make him feel better about his dumpster fire program. Future looks bleak. The closest that one of the most legendary coaches could come to winning your conference was like a 60 p Let's just leave it at that.
